It will be a Saturday showdown in Auburn, Alabama. The Auburn Tigers match up
against the defending National Champions, the Georgia Bulldogs.
Tigers will definitely need to come with their A game as the defending champs have
weapons all across the board. Tigers may be going against a first year starter, but Carson Beck is
fitting right in with the Georgia memo. Beck does a good job taking control of the offense and
finding his big playmakers. Tigers will need to be able to lock down potential first round draft
pick Brock Bowers.
Last week Texas A&M was able to find patches in the Auburn defense, tighten things up
and being fundamentally sound will be key. This week’s film will be very crucial for this
defense.
As far as offense goes, Auburn will need to make every possession count. Last week we
just saw the South Carolina Gamecocks made their possessions count in the first quarter but as
the game went on Gamecocks didn’t capitalize throughout the game. Georgia’s defense came
alive in the second half, staying on top of them for all four quarters will be important. Tykee
Smith is a key contributor to the defense in the secondary. Smith already has three interceptions
this season and a total of 15 tackles.
Tigers kick off at Jordan Hare Stadium at 3:30 p.m..
