We are back for another college football weekend. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are back on the road to play against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.
This will be a big game for the Yellow Jackets as this is another ACC match up. This will be the second one of the season as they played Louisville the first game of the season. Currently, Georgia Tech sits at the 12th place within the ACC but the majority of the conference hasn’t started conference play just yet. Getting their first win within the ACC can help get things on track after the loss to Louisville and recently to Ole Miss.
The Yellow Jackets will need to start fast and put together all three phases of football to come out with a win in enemy territory. We have seen them play at a high level. Haynes King and Jamal Haynes are both electric players and getting them rolling early can make it easy for this offense. As far as gameplan, it should be important for the offensive line to set tone in the trenches and get to the second level to create holes.
On the other hand, the Deacons are sitting at 3-0. They have recently played against Elon, Vanderbilt, and Old Dominion. Wake Forest makes their conference debut against Georgia Tech and will be a test to see how they hold up against another ACC opponent.
Key players the Yellow Jackets should prepare for are, starting Quarterback Mitch Griffis who currently has 837 passing yards, leading rusher Demond Clairborne with 268 rushing yards and lastly Jamal Banks , who is leading the team with 223 receiving yards. Jacob Robertrs is the heavy hitter for the Deacons as he has recorded a total of 31 tackles within just three games. Wake Forest definitely has some play makers for this game.
Georgia Tech Kicks off at Allegacy Federal Credit Union Stadium at 6:30 Saturday September 23rd.
