Atlanta United announced the signing of defender Mikey Ambrose Tuesday afternoon. Ambrose played for the Five Stripes between 2017 and 2019 and played with Inter Miami CF in 2020.
“Mikey is an MLS veteran who has proven to be a reliable and versatile defender, and we’re pleased to welcome him back to our club,” AtlantaUnited Vice President and Technical Director Carlos Bocanegra said. “We know we’ll be able to count on his experience and leadership to give us additional competition in our back line.”
Prior to playing with Atlanta, Ambrose made his MLS debut with Orlando City SC in 2016. He was also a three-year letterman at the University of Maryland and represented the United States at the U-17, U-18 and U-20 levels.
