The Atlanta Falcons and the Philadelphia Eagles made a trade on Monday night. The Falcons are receiving safety Johnathan Cyprien.
Besides receiving Cyprien, the team is also getting a seventh-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
The Eagles are receiving linebacker Duke Riley. Plus, the team is also adding a sixth-round draft pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Riley was the Falcons third-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. The 25-year-old Buras, Louisiana native has spent the last three seasons with the team.
He has appeared in four games this season. However, the majority of his snaps have come on special teams and just one defensive snap on the season-opener on Sept. 8 against the Minnesota Vikings.
Cyprien signed with the Eagles in August. However, he had trouble cracking the team’s defense.
The former second-round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft has only played in 15 snaps in the first four weeks before the trade. He appeared in 12 snaps on Sept. 26th against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday Night Football.
