Crabtree’s late TD scores Raiders win

The Oakland Raiders narrowly escaped with a win over the Kansas City Chiefs. The Raiders won 31-30 on Thursday Night Football at Oakland Coliseum.

The Chiefs are now 5-2. Oakland has improved to 3-4 following the come-from-behind win.

Kansas City has now lost two games in the past four days. They also lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium after beginning the season 5-0.

The game ended on several untimed downs and numerous penalties. Michael Crabtree, who was called for a pass interference two plays earlier, made the game-winning reception.

Crabtree’s reception was a two-yard reception. It was initially reviewed, as it appeared he may not have had control of the ball as he fell to the ground, but it was ruled that it was a touchdown.

Raiders kicker Giorgio Tavecchio barely made the extra point for the win.

Derek Carr went 29 of 52 for 417 yards and three touchdowns. Amari Cooper, who has been invincible this season, had a breakthrough game with 210 yards and two touchdowns.

DeAndre Washington led the Raiders rushing attack with 33 yards. He also had a four-yard rushing touchdown.

Washington took over as the featured back after Marshawn Lynch was ejected in the second quarter. During a scuffle, he ran into the field from the sidelines and hit an official.

Tavecchio also has a 26-yard field goal.

Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith went 25 of 36 for 342 yards and three touchdowns. Tyreek Hill also had 125 yards and a touchdown.

Travis Kelce had a 10-hard touchdown. Albert Wilson also had a 63-yard touchdown, which hit off of a Raiders defensive backs hands before landing into his hands, as he continued to run down the field.

Kareem Hunt has 87 rushing yards. He also had 30 receiving yards.

Hunt has now joined Hall of Fame running back Eric Dickerson, as the only players, who have had 1,000 yards through the first seven games of their careers.

Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker also made three field goals.
