Atlanta United will begin 2020 season on the road

Atlanta United will begin its 2020 MLS regular season at Nashville. The match will take place Feb. 29 at 8 p.m. ET at Nissan Stadium. 

Nashville SC, the new franchise in MLS, will play its home matches at Nissan Stadium for the first two years, before moving to its soccer-specific stadium. 

United will also play at Chicago during the Fire’s first home game of the season at Soldier Field on  March 21. The rest of the MLS schedule will be released at a later date.

Just like the 2019 season, Atlanta will begin play in the CONCACAF Champions League where they will play a home-and-away series against an opponent that is yet to be determined. Those matches will take place between Feb. 18-20 and Feb. 25-27.

The draw for the round of 16 Champions League matches will take place Dec. 9 in Mexico City.
