Atlanta United made official the trade of forward Romario Williams to Columbus Crew SC for $100,000 in General Allocation Money Monday afternoon.
Williams scored three goals across all competitions in his two years with the Five Stripes and he played a total of 22 matches.
The Jamaican international was acquired in December 2016 via trade from Montreal Impact and was loaned to the Charleston Battery during the 2016 and 2017 season.
“Romario helped bring a championship to the city of Atlanta and will always be a part of the club’s first title-winning team,” said Atlanta United Vice President and Technical Director Carlos Bocanegra in a press release by the club. “We are grateful to Romario for his contribution to the club and wish him the very best for the future.”
