Atlanta United and Inter Miami faced each other to a scoreless match, Wednesday afternoon at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. For Atlanta, this was the team’s first match without Designated Player Pity Martinez, due to being sold to Al-Nassr from Saudi Arabia for a reportedly $18 million fee.
Neither team was able to create many threats in the other team’s final third of the field.
During the first half, Erick “Cubo” Torres was not able to finish a perfectly placed cross by Brooks Lennon.
Afterwards, towards the end of the first half, it was Inter Miami who missed on an opportunity to open up the scoreboard for the night.
During the second half, neither team was able to create a shot on goal and each team went home with one point each.
Atlanta will return to action Saturday when the team will travel to Orlando. Kick-off is at 8 p.m.
