MLS lifts team training moratorium

Major League Soccer announced Thursday afternoon that it has lifted the team training moratorium for all clubs. The moratorium was first implemented on March 12 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now, clubs will have to submit a plan that will allow the first team to train. Each plan will be reviewed and approved by the club’s medical staff and local infectious disease expert prior to submitting it to MLS.

The three key parts of the plan involve testing for COVID-19, facilities and equipment use and player and staff safety procedures. Below is more information on each section:
